This introductory training is designed to familiarize new facilities employees with the fundamentals of asbestos awareness in school buildings. Participants will learn what asbestos is, where it may be found, and the inspection and surveillance requirements established under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). This training is intended to increase awareness and support safe work practices, it does not replace any required certification or licensing.
